I have worked the past 30 years in warehouse distribution in Facilities maintenance for one company. I started my career with Grainger when the Greenville DC was under construction. During my career I have achieved increased levels of responsibility to include leading individual shift, multiple shifts, contractors and executing contracts. Daily planning to support a large DC, annual budget planning (both non payroll and capital), hands on training with techs, planning and executing projects. Other opportunities include team building within our network, implementation and use of CMMS (computer maintenance management software), interacting with contractors and vendors, parts sourcing. Schedule annual inspections with FM Global for loss prevention. The department is responsible for maintaining 200+ pieces of rolling stock, approximately 5 miles of conveyance, and the building envelop of a 1.2 million sq ft facility.
