I start my new job as an Apprentice Manager at Morrisons in addition to studying at the University of Bradford. Prior to this I have worked at Arup as a Transport Planner for 5 years starting as an apprentice and gaining my EngTech. At school I obtained 3 A levels Grade B and above in History, Politics and Geography as well as 11 GCSEs Grade C and above at Fulford Academy. In my time working I have grown in confidence and my skill set has vastly improved enabling me to transfer skills across different roles. I am keen to learn and get involved where ever possible, I will always try my best, ask questions and strive to become better. In my work I am a team player and try wherever possible to help those around me. I love being apart of a team where I can demonstrate my skills effectively and share my knowledge not just my skills at work but my personal life. In my time away from work I am passionate about sport, playing and watching sport frequently. I enjoy a good social life, interacting with my friends and family. I also love to travel, having recently come back from the USA where I went there on my own, making friends and creating many memories for a lifetime all while learning a lot about myself and becoming a better person in the meantime and learning so many valuable skills and experiences that will stay with me forever and help me in all aspects of life, not just work. I have also participated in the Camp America programme in 2024 and 2022 where I worked as a Tennis Coach and Councillor in the USA. Here I learnt valuable skills, leadership, organisation, resilience and social communications amongst all. Above all else the experience taught me a lot about myself, that I can achieve great things and this will give me added confidence in my day job and in life generally. Prior to starting career work I worked various jobs while at school to gain work experience such as being a florist, waiter and pot washer, gaining useful experience of work and learning the fundamentals of work.
