For 2 years I supported a mission-critical in-house Java system (J2EE) which prepared data in SQL Server and delivered data to the AS400. I gained experience of Eclipse, Apache tomcat and Websphere, HTML, javascript, JSP, Swing, JDBC, Ant, Tortoise/SVN, Subversion as well as JAVA. I put XML through SOAP/UI to re-create errors that webservices was returning for the XML and show the reason and/or change needed to fix the XML.I developed several add-ons and enhancements to the HFI Insurance package on the IBM System i (or iSeries or AS400) in RPG IV with embedded SQL: o Worked extensively on developing premium breakdown in ILE RPG IV and XML.o Developed Graduated Driver processing. o Developed automatic ANPR extract of registration numbers going on and off cover daily. o Developed a module which sends multi-part MIME emails from the iSERIES to anyone who entered a quote on the internet and did not incept. The multi-part MIME file contains a HTML part with the quote information and an XML part with the premium breakdown. o Developed a module to send emails from the iSeries with spreadsheet attachments.o Developed a module to automatically produce indicative quotes. These send a letter to people who did not take up a quote just under a year ago showing them what their renewal premium would have been.o Developed an EDI module which: Automatically loads new business EDI messages into the Insurance broking package which is HFI from Target Harlosh. HFI is similar to I/90. Creates Renewal Invites EDI messages which are automatically sent to EDI partners at renewal time.o Developed a module which extracts mobile numbers from new business and renewals and sends text messages.o Developed automatic windscreen cover extract.I fixed and changed existing custom modifications as required.

Was involved in major projects to prepare the JD Edwards custom modifications for Y2K. Wrote major modifications to sales order processing module for the French distribution team. Maintained and upgraded conveyor belt software (BASIC) and hardware (Dell PC). Developed an on-line raw material usage collection and logging system in RPG/400 on AS/400 interfacing to a PC which collected data from philips automated raw material system. Maintained and developed various AS/400 RPG systems. Developed a balepress pressure recording application which graphed the pressure applied to each bale over time in TURBO C.
