At Spectrum AV, I enhanced my technical skills, problem solving and became extremely competent using tools while gaining deep IT infrastructure knowledge. Clients required a vast range of services and advice regarding a variety of topics ranging from network switches, VC cameras, USB switches etc.Duties included:• Site inspections and reviews, completing installation risk assessments and organising relevant safety and work permits• Liaising with the IT department and providing recommendations of equipment• Delivering equipment demonstrations for potential clients• Working with the sales team to choose the most suitable equipment for our clients• All activities related to preparation and delivery of equipment, installation, testing and client handover.

In this short time, I fine-tuned my IT problem solving skills. I learned on the job to troubleshoot common problems with networking, computer malfunctions and peripherals. My technical knowledge of AV equipment was extremely useful and provided the foundation of skills which I continue to build upon for my IT services careerDuties here included:• Installation, configuration and maintenance of laptops, tablets and phones.• Full installation of a local network including cabling, crimping, configuration and placement of access points and back up APC power• Managing and resolving hardware and software issues• Oversee Asset Management tracking and ensure that the inventory is kept up to date• Process IT hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, disk-drives, switches, test-equipment etc) • Oversee Audio-Visual infrastructure on-site to support Teams, Zoom and Skype meetings, Webinars and other events

Converted from contractor to permanent employee in Dec 2018 and was quickly given a lot of additional responsibility. As part of a team of 6 I completed projects with demanding timelines, whilst maintaining the highest standards. Each job required me to lead a team of 4 contractors.Responsibilities, included:• Repairing lights, speakers, LED panels, computers and ensuring software is up to date• Preparation of audio, lighting, projection, staging, draping, printing, one off signage, LEDwalls and content, rigging and operations• Set up and testing all equipment with the team, making sure to have backup equipmentand procedures in place• Operating audio, sound and live-recording during the event including live-streaming

Here I gained excellent experience in a high-quality corporate environment and the standards that must be adhered to in that industry.Examples of projects includes Ted Talks, multiple HSBC events, large medical conventions and various other corporate parties and conferences. This was my first exposure regarding light and sound set ups for large town halls and corporate events

My duties included, preparation and installation of TV’s, Projectors and small PA systems in various hotels and venues eg. The Hilton Hotel, Intercontinental Hotels, Sofitel Hotels, Sydney Convention Center, Allianz Stadium (International rugby events) etc. I was also doing small audio ops in some venues, eg. Four handhelds/lapels and lectern mics with some background music and in house projection with client content including video conferencing.

Some of the projects that I worked on while here included:Oktoberfest tour, 2014 - 2016 My roles for this festival included preparation in the warehouse, loading in and setting up, light operation for the duration of the festival, load out and de prep in the warehouse. We also supplied power to all the vendors and a huge amount of indoor and outdoor up lightingIndiependence Music Festival, Mitchelstown 2015 - 2016This included installation of sound/lights for multiple stages including the Red Bull stage, which I designed, operated and managed.Electric Picnic Festival, Stradbally 2016 - 2017Duties for this festival were the same as mentioned above but on a larger scale and with a tighter deadline

Worked as part of the Quality assurance/Docum-entation team on a project to transfer all site and other documentation to a designated offsite storage facility.My duties included record-ing and updating the location of all documentsvia entry to hand written Log-books,Databasesand various microsoft spreadsheets.Essential requirements of the job were excellent comm-.unication skills,ability to work within a team,a high standard of accuracy and attention todetail which was critical to the work.Also had to complete many tasks such as using Filetracker to record and locate specific documents that were of high importance,ensure correct boxing of each type of documents andthat each box of documents had the correct barcode label.Achievements while in Documentation control:• Have transfererd 20,000, paper documents to an electronic system which I organised myself• For example these documents included batch records,SOP’s,logbooks,QAR’s,Validation and Quality control records.All of which i now have a better understanding of• Confirmed that these documents have been made electronic and used Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to record the progress of the work• Created spreadsheets recording our hand-written written logbooks which included thousands of entries• Have learned the basics of GMP and applied them to my work everyday• Since i have been with the Quality Assurance team,i’ve also learned key information regarding quality,such a key terms and the general understanding of the importance of accuracy in the manufacturing of the product.
