Managed the first Littoral Combat Ship virtual reality simulator upgrade since the program's inception in 2008. Identified modeling errors and provided feedback to software engineers and developers. The Department Head curriculum is the most demanding and in-depth professional course a Surface Warfare Officer will attend during their career. This intensive 27-week course prepares Officers for duty as department heads on all classes of Navy ships and is divided into two modules, Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Operations, Readiness, Training & Engineering (ORT&E). TAO is comprised of Information Operations, Air and Missile Defense, Surface Warfare, Undersea Warfare, and Expeditionary Warfare. In addition to academic studies, students will participate in the Multi-Mission Team Trainer (MMTT), demonstrating their proficiency as a TAO. ORT&E module consists of Department Administration, Training Management, Afloat Safety, Leadership, Shiphandling, Anti-Terrorism, Material Readiness, Damage Control, Billet Specialty Training, and a Tactical Planning Exercise. Approximately 275 students attend the Department Head Course each year.

As Officer of Deck, ensuring safe navigation for more than 300 days at sea. Responsible for the development of 350 Sailors, training and maintenance of all Damage Control and engineering systems. Ships Maintenance and Material Officer (SMMO) led the ASHLAND through a $16.5M, 450 job availability, of which 75% of the jobs were engineering, with only three new jobs added after sea trials testing. While still in Ships Restricted Availability (SRA), supported a mock LOA contributing to a 94% score for material checks from The Afloat Training Group (ATG) assessors, then followed up with a 91% from Engineering Assessments Pacific (EAP) at MOB-E 1.1 a/b. In addition to all the standard duties as the Damage Control Assistant (DCA) and SMMO, balanced shipwide and departmental demands of SRA, inport and underway training cycles, crew certification, sea trials, and AVCERT, ensuring the ship was ready for deployment.

Led teams in Damage Control training and certification events for four U.S. Navy ships and three Coast Guard Cutters and trained over 400 sailors in basic and advanced damage control concepts.
