- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the DHS/NDIA Network Installation Specifications and individual site Data Communications and UPS Load Centre, Scope of Works.- Partnered with NDIA Property staff to tailor existing DHS ICT specifications to suit the NDIA ICT environment.- Regularly liaise with Telstra representatives regarding DHS/NDIA IT Room design.- Regularly attend Jones, Lang, LaSalle meetings representing DHS/NDIA ICT interests.- Prince 2 Project Management – Foundation Certification.- Design DHS/NDIA Facilities Cabinets, IT rooms, floorplans using AutoCAD software.- Attend DHS sites for Server, Wireless Access Points (WAP) relocations and installations.

Contracting to Department of Human Services through PKIS.I was exposed to a wide variety of projects covering both the commercial and industrial sales and product support fields for the Government and the Private sector.Involvement with a varied array of projects provided me with valuable experience and the ability to ensure favourable out-comes for the Client and Management. My role with PKIS required me to assist with the installation of the Structured Cabling Systems in approximately 80 DHS sites per year throughout Australia. This required designing workstation telecommunications outlet locations, cross connect frame and facilities cabinet layouts using the AutoCAD software. I also managed the end of project documentation, invoicing, and updating drawings of DHS network facilities cabinets throughout Australia, post scheduled equipment changes.

Successful in winning a position at a new branch of this electrical sales company. I was keen to expand my interest in data and communications, I established a client base from scratch to a level where it then represented 50% of the sales in the branch. This achievement was well above the company’s expectations. My responsibilities were;- Negotiating with ICT suppliers to achieve the value for money.- Preparing tenders quotations.- Providing technical advice to Project Managers.- Liaising with Project Managers from government departments, private industry, electricians, SCS installers and network integrator's.Achievements;- Successfully built, serviced and expanded a client base through diligence, outstanding client service and technical knowledge. - My management lead to the branch having the highest number of sales and profit margin of 37 branches located around Australia.- Established major accounts by procuring the SCS supplies for several large projects including the Department of Defence refurbishment of the Russell Offices, and the Garden Island Dockyard.- Recognised for using initiative to find solutions so that project deadlines were always met.

Pursued my interest in the structured cabling system (SCS) industry by working as an installer for a small company. Obtained a detailed knowledge of SCS cabling by installing communications cabling and terminating telecommunications outlets. Left the company due to a downturn in business.
