He is also a Non-Executive Director, an Independent Chair, and has held prior positions as a director, chair, and/or member of various governance and advisory boards.His expertise extends to professional services such as legal, finance, accounting, property, insurance, engineering, and corporate services. Stephen has also contributed significantly to NFP sectors, including charitable and faith-based organisations, aged care, education, media, advocacy, health, and community services. In government, he has worked in public policy and administration, regulation, resources and energy, regional planning, economic development, and tourism.Furthermore, Stephen has a strong background in utilities encompassing electricity, gas, telecommunications, and water, as well as expertise in education and training, including school-based learning, VET, adult, and community education. His involvement in the ICT sector ranges from shared service operations to software development, manufacturing, managed services, and infrastructure.In collaboration with the board and the team, Stephen has effectively led organisational change and transformation, creating supportive environments where values, purpose and excellence are at the core of all business strategies and communications. He has directed business strategy and growth efforts across Australasia, the Middle East, and Northern America, successfully attracting investment capital to Australian and North American listed companies.
