Left Perficient to start Aeteks Systems when Perficient moved operations to St. Louis.Reported to the President yet had to use “influence” because of the daily interaction with Sales, Line of Business Directors, Accounting and others to effect change. This was a matrix role responsible for providing support to each of the Line of Business Directors.The Director of Information Technology and their six person staff was assigned as my direct responsibility. Prior to reporting to me, this department was a “reactive” group that had lapsed into ineffective symptom patching. Made some key staff changes and implemented a customer service culture built on problem prevention – one of checklists, procedures and accountability. After eight months operations were running smoothly and only two IT support staff were needed, saving the company over $200k per year in wages. -
