Epidemiologist passionate about data-driven solutions in public health, with a focus on newborn screening and congenital anomalies. Driven by a commitment to improving outcomes through innovative research and clear communication.In addition to my role at ADPH, I am the president and founder of Puerco in Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to mental health services for immigrants. Since February 2021, I have been leading the efforts to raise awareness, fundraise, and partner with scholarship programs to provide scholarships to bilingual graduate students studying mental health. I am passionate about improving global health and social justice. I am also a certified Health and Wellness Coach and a proficient speaker of English and Spanish. My mission is to use my skills and knowledge to make a positive difference in the health and well-being of diverse and underserved populations.
