What started as a consulting gig quickly turned into a building science geek's dream job. The energy efficiency research work I did at NRCan has now been put to work for live projects. New skills have been added. I'm now a THERM monster. I've also got a lot of Passive House scar tissue working on multi-unit residential projects. Interestingly, while giving different absolute answers, both DOE-2 and PHPP trend in the same direction. On the other hand, the fit between an assessment package looking at detached houses and the realities of multi-unit buildings is a rough one. Kudos to Peel Passive House consulting for developing and sharing tools that help bridge the divide ... but there's a lot more to do. CSV provides high-performance building for the Affordable Housing Community, both Private and Public Sectors. I'm STILL loving it!

Coordinates student and mentor participation in the Ottawa Studio of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Syllabus Program. The Ottawa Studio provides instruction in architectural design to Syllabus students who are completing a diploma program recognized as an equivalent level of education to a University professional degree in architecture.
