• Provide engineering oversight and technical support of the Mechanical & Propulsion Systems for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC), the largest military procurement in Canadian history (~$70b). • Lead a Stakeholder Working Group in the analysis and definition of 250+ Mechanical System requirements to ensure Customer defined performance objectives were met and could be properly verified/validated.• Manage risk by successfully identifying and executing various Engineering Changes, including the re-design of the Ship Exhaust System resulting in a $1.8m cost savings and 8-month schedule improvement. • Personally developed major Design Deliverables, including the 3D Model Plan and the Machinery Arrangement, all of which were delivered to schedule and accepted first time by the Customer.• Collaborate with internal Supply Chain, Project Management Teams to place the first equipment contract of the Project (~$300k), including the review and supplier negotiation of the Technical Specification.• Contribute to Design Reviews in delegated areas of responsibility by synthesizing design data and KPIs into concise, effective presentations outlining maturity and risk using objective evidence in areas such as Functional Design, HSE, Security, Regulatory Compliance, and Supply Chain Provenance.• Participate in the production of numerous CSC Engineering processes and procedures, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, including the initial ISO certification of the CSC Project Office.
