Steve has been successfully litigating cases in Missouri, Illinois and Federal Courts for over 30 years. As a recipient of the 1991 Lon O. Hocker Award, he was recognized by the Missouri Bar Foundation as St. Louis’ top trial attorney under the age of 36. In 1992, The St. Louis Business Journal named him the “top up and coming” attorney in the personal injury area of law. Steve has tailored his practice to personal injury litigation, sub-specializing in the defense of medical professionals and hospitals. He has lectured and published articles on various aspects of civil trial work. He is a former President of The Lawyers Association of St. Louis. Steve has been rated “AV” (the highest rating possible) by Martindale-Hubbell®. He has also been named as a Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyer® in the area of Personal Injury Defense and Medical Malpractice Defense. Steve was selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America 2015.Steve obtained his B.A, with honors, from St. Louis University in 1980. He graduated from St. Louis University School of Law, cum laude in 1983 and has been in private practice since that date.Steve and his wife Angie live in the St. Louis suburb of Brentwood and have six children.
