A member of the Gas Connection Project Team. Our objective was to specify, configure and supply a full suite of ICT services for the North of England Gas Network (Northern Gas Networks) Connections Business based in Edinburgh. As Implementation Manager I had responsibility for delivering the functional and design specifications for the technical infrastructure, supporting the application delivery team (AMT Sybex). This project was very challenging and gave me the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of starting up a new business, insight into the complex and highly regulated business processes involved in the Utility sector, and the installation and configuration of a workflow/asset management system (Mincom Ellipse).
