My 27 years in the military brought a wide range of experience and problem solving skills out of my inner self. I served in several positions ranging from an infantry soldier to an operations non-commissioned officer. Some of those duties were included, mentoring junior soldiers, drill sergeant, small group instructor for maintenance managment, managing an operations office staff, vehicle maintenance, identifying and implementing risk management procedures, and working with civilian and military local nationals where deployed. While teaching I successfully increased the percentage of students participating in Junior Reserve Officer Training (JROTC) at our school from less than 10 percent in my first year to over 50 percent by my fourth year. I also established and mentored our cadets to maintain a direct relationship between the local community centers and our JROTC program. I also assisted in the transportation of students by driving our activity bus to various after school sporting events.As a grocery clerk I am responsible for keeping the shelves stocked, providing outstanding customer service, being flexible to work anywhere in the store where needed whether it be bagging groceries, slicing deli meat or my regular position maintaining the stock on the shelves. Very flexible and quick learning.
