This involves; looking after and training software engineers under my charge, managing the development all projects that fall within the driver simulation department, over seeing/reviewing/certifying all software designs, researching new technologies, working closely with sales investigating new applications and potential markets for our products, and working closely with our technical director to recommend new directions to push our technologies.I am the architect of the Universal Simulation Engine (USE) and of the Advanced Driving Simulator (ADS). The USE is the framework that all of our latest products are based on. A flexible architecture that allows our organisation to rapidly develop state-of-the-art professional low to very high fidelity simulators. This includes high accuracy motion simulation and vehicle dynamics. The ADS is our flagship driving simulation product, designed specifically to be configurable and adaptable for research, driver training, and MoD applications. Supporting interchangeable COTs dynamics systems, AI systems (for traffic/pedestrian behavioural modelling), Visual (IG) systems, eye tracking, hardware systems.I'm also responsible for one of our organisations' most successful budget range of commercial driver trainer products, XP Driving Simulator (XPDS). This is a product I inherited while a senior engine. I have chiefly pushed this product to new levels, directing how the product needs to involve, and keeping it ahead of our competitors. Show less
