OVERVIEWEcolution is a Green Building Consultancy and leaders of sustainable building with over 180 projects across Africa and Southern Africa. This spans from residential home energy and sustainability audits to the conceptualisation and commissioning of large-scale green buildings such as hotels, factories, or corporate offices. My primary role at the company has been providing commissioning process services for large building projects around the country and in Africa. The commissioning process involves a thorough review of building system designs and verification of on-site implementation and sustainable performance. I report to the Company Director and lead a team of 2 to 3 employees in Sustainability Consulting and Commissioning Projects.Roles and Responsibilities:• Consult a range of notable clients on which sustainability initiatives to implement within their building operations and new construction projects.• Overseeing the implementation of initiatives• Design reviews of building systems including HVAC, Electrical, Renewables, Lighting and Water systems.• Commissioning building systems to ensure the quality of sustainable systems installed • Providing guidance on green building certifications such as LEED, EDGE or Greenstar SA and engaging with the energy modelling process.• Reviewed and adjusted engineering designs.• Verified functional performance testing with the principal contractor site manager/agent • Strong collaboration with the Project management team • Clients: A range of notable clients (see notable projects PWC, Google, Unilever, Lufthansa, Schneider, Deloitte)

OVERVIEWRoles and responsibilities: Analyse and interpret all forms of traffic data including; speed surveys, traffic counts, road accident data, traffic fines, travel time surveys, traffic models, weighbridge operations, road maintenance reports, intersection counts etc. Provide recommendations on solutions to remedy the issues at hand. Traffic Modelling of the R44 in Stellenbosch Project: 1-year project, budget approx. USD1m. Designed a traffic model, using Paramics software, of a 50 km provincial 4 lane arterial road to investigate the traffic congestion impact of various road infrastructure upgrades. The goal was to assess various roundabout configurations to reduce traffic congestion.

Observed all related road work procedures, including stone crushing, pavement laying, concrete pouring etc., and assisted the Resident Engineer and other site engineers in quantity auditing, soil laboratory testing and formwork inspections.
