Duties  Maintenance, repair/installation of machinery, equipment, wiring systems, and fixtures in accordance with relevant electrical codes. Work coordination with other trade supervisors prior to installation of equipment/fixtures.  Work and coordinate with other departments like Plumbing, construction and Painting, on a large-scale job to ensure work flows efficiently and deadlines are met. Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Performs installation, removal and/or maintenance, troubleshoot and repair of electric equipment and appliances including residential generators, floodlights, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and systems of all types at the military base. Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring equipment’s, appliances, fixtures, motors, ground leads and house electrical switches, using hand tools, power tools, and assorted electrical test devices. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components, using test equipment and tools to locate cause of break-downs and corrects problem. Inspects electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Places conduit inside designated partitions, walls or other concealed areas, and pulls insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuit between boxes or boxes and panel. Tests and inspects personnel protection grounding system and electrical equipment & neutral grounding system Tests electrical systems of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment & fixtures using different testing devices such as Ohm Meters, Volt Meters & Oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Test and inspect Fire Alarm terns including Annunciation panel, Zone panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors. Abide by all Embassy security rules and regulations, safety and health practices and OSHA requirements
