I’m a qualified actuary currently working for Old Mutual Corporate Consultants, a division of Old Mutual Corporate that provides advice and guidance to employers, members and trustees on matters relating to investment, communication, actuarial and employee benefits. I qualified as an actuary in 2003. In 2004 I was approved by the Financial Services Board as a Retirement Fund Valuator in South Africa, and by the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) in Namibia in 2006. I have considerable experience in providing actuarial valuation and general consulting services in the retirement fund/ employee benefits space across a range of Southern African countries.My current role as a Pensions Consulting Actuary involves managing a team of actuaries and providing professional actuarial services, beyond the traditional production of regulatory valuations, to clients.
