Letter of IntroductionTo whom it may concern,My career started as an Apprentice Plater/Shipwright in England in 1968 moving to Australia with my wife in 1974. Since arriving in Australia I have been involved in the resource sector within Australia, West Africa, East Africa and Malaysia. I have held positions starting with Boilermaker/Welder, Leading Hand, Supervisor, Estimator, Estimating Manager, Project Coordinator and Construction Manager. I have a broad knowledge of shop fabrication and site installation. I am presently looking for a position in estimating / project controls or construction management.I have managed construction from tender through to Bulk earthworks, detail earthworks / civils / structural / mechanical / piping, through to commissioning and final handover to the client.I have never been far away from the work fronts allowing me to keep in touch with new technologies and work methods. This has enabled me to perform my duties with a large degree of reality especially in estimating and scheduling.From each job position I have developed and carried skills from the previous positions to enable me to be fully conversant and to give 100% to any task I am given. I am always willing to listen and learn from others within and outside of the company I am working for.The skills and knowledge I have attained combined with excellent time management skills enable me to be confident in working with and directing others within the company group.I have held both Perth based office and site positions. I feel that with my skill level and varied employment background and work ethic I would be an asset to any employer seeking a motivated loyal employee.
