Anti-Doping & Illicit Drugs Programme Manager
Provide expert advice and support on all anti-doping and illicit drug policy and procedure matters; including reviewing and developing the RFU’s anti-doping and illicit drug policies. Project management and delivery of a game wide anti-doping and illicit drug education strategy and programme to effectively engage players, coaches and support staff in anti-doping and illicit drug education, including TUE advice, supplements, sanctions and the testing procedures. Manage RFU communications strategy to raise the profile of anti-doping and illicit drug risk management within rugby (see RFU Annual Anti-Doping Report). Doping Control Station management for London & Exeter 7s competitions. Stakeholder relations management and key contact for Premiership Rugby, World Rugby, WADA and UK Anti-Doping. Coordinate the implementation of a long-term social research into anti-doping and values within rugby in England. Maintain budgetary responsibilities for department, suppliers, research and rehab services. Manage whereabouts for 80 international level athletes who are in both domestic and international testing pool. Chair whereabouts appeals from 1st and 2nd strikes in UK Anti-Doping’s domestic testing programme.
