This is a skill we work at mastering from the very start.In guiding students to experience success on their instrument in the genres Classical, Rock, Blues, Folk, Singer-Songwriter, Fingerstyle, Samba and Bossa Nova, the student learns progressive listening / ear and reading skills, while memorizing complete forms of songs, studying the guitar parts within, using recordings and sheet music. I encourage, guide, and work to inspire people to play music in a variety of playing styles and musical genres. With proper attention to specific details and technical necessities, the door is wide open to anyone who has the persistence to learn to play! We regularly make use of DAW programs, USB audio interface mixers, stereo and large diaphragm microphones, as well as other recording gear, giving students insight into the recording and mixing processes.
