Regional sales representative for Adidas optical frames. All optometrists/opticians in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Free State and Namibia were called upon on an eight week cycle in order to service existing clients and generate new business from prospective clients. Responsibilities included: - The sale of Adidas optical frames from a wholesale level to optometric clients. - Provide training to optometrists, dispensing opticians and frontline staff in order to positively influence sell through from store level to the consumer. - Rotation of stock not selling through. - Compile and submit weekly sales and call reports.

In order to gain practical experience whilst a student, I worked at Palm Grove Optometrists in Durbanville over weekends and school holidays during 2002. The practice was sold to Mellin Optometrists in 2003. Having worked there as a student, I was employed to complete my in-service training. Fresh knowledge straight from Technikon enabled me to advise clients on the most suitable lens and frame choice for their occupation and needs. I developed my skills in accurate eye/facial measurements for optimum lens placement. In 2004 a cut and fit lens lab was installed which I managed. A great deal of experience was gained in lens cutting, spectacle frame repairs and frame adjustments.
