Consulting to SS&C Technologies, I provided input into a data migration project - providing expertise on data mapping and functionality, reconciliation of data and remediation tasks. I also provided SME support in the areas of income stream products (ABPs & TAPs) and defined benefit funds.Previously, I consulted to Mercer on Successor Fund Transfer projects (both inbound and outbound), retirement income projections, mapping of existing APRA reporting processes and compiling requirements for the transfer of reserves for defined benefit members.My initial engagement was consulting to MLC/Plum, providing superannuation and pension BA expertise to a large corporate Master Trust - working on BAU projects such as periodical insurance re-rates. I was then involved in the initial reporting for the Putting Members’ Interests First (PMIF) and Protecting Your Super (PYS) initiatives.I also provided BA input into a legacy business reporting piece (including assistance in the development of an ongoing reporting process), in addition to analysis on remediation tasks and as pensions SME for a Successor Fund Transfer project.

Working as a contract BA, I provided superannuation BA expertise to a large corporate Master Trust - working initially on a transition (in) project on behalf of a medium to large employer (1100 members) then on a number of BAU projects such as periodical insurance re-rates.My final two months were spent as a Product Analyst / SME working with the Product Team to rewrite (and, in some cases, draft) the benefit design for Plum's corporate defined benefit and hybrid funds.

Assigned to one of the Project Teams, I took a key role as analyst in two separate projects for a major corporate super (non-public offer) client. The first involved re-rating of fees / insurance across both super and pension phase. The second was a pension-specific piece, introducing a raft of product improvements to investment offerings, pension payment options and allowable beneficiaries. My role included: - vetting of supporting documentation: Plan Summaries, PDS, Investment Guides, SENs, etc; - vetting of procedures / processes and making amendments; - creation of Project Requirement Definition documents and presentation to key stakeholders; - redrafting of letters and forms; - data analysis and remediation work across both SuperB and Calibre platforms; - test Plans and UAT; - liaising with key stakeholders to ensure orderly implementation; - addressing interfaces with third-party systems (work-flow, online solution, general ledger); - providing (pension-related) technical support.

Investment & Retirement Services

My role involved driving out change through the Investment & Retirement Services team - particularly with regard to standardisation, streamlining and process improvement. In the course of this, I developed a number of functional tools used by the business to automate previously manual processes and to quantify cost/benefit of proposed changes to determine their validity. I have also been involved with research on "future state" of retirement income products, both across the industry and across Superpartners own client base, including competitor analysis.

Business Delivery

Working within the Business Delivery team, I acted as the Subject Matter Expert on projects specifically relating to the Investment and Retirement Services area within Superpartners. To date my involvement has included key input into the RetireEasy system replacement project, enhanced investment vehicles such as direct share trading, ETF's and Term Deposits, and vetting requirements arising through legislative change (such as Stronger Super). I also provided guidance / opinion on matters specifically relating to income stream products in addition to addressing ongoing administration issues and possible process improvement.

Working within the Business Transformation Program, I led a team of four whose responsibilities were:(i) to align business processes to the Target Operating Model of SuperPartners' clients "product sets";(ii) to assign metrics to measure current and future state of processes and thus quantify the value of projects;(iii) to ensure the business transformation program, and existing / future projects, meet SP's conformance standards and GS007 compliance.

Consulting on product / process issues regarding Superannuation Income Streams (Account Based Pensions and TAPs) and Unit Trusts. This has expanded in recent times to include competitor analysis for income stream products and system assessment.

Initially working as a contract Business Analyst, the role expanded over this period to include all matters relating to Member Investment Choice and Retirement Income Streams (allocated pensions, term allocated pensions and annuity products) - including process improvement, SuperB and Calibre testing, management reporting, vetting of Product Disclosure Statements (PDS) and major projects.

Test analyst for system enhancements and upgrades. Developed FS's regression suite for testing new version releases.
