We promote community engagement, empowerment, and partnership working to deliver services that meet the needs of local communities. As a Community Association we are working for the benefit of the residents living in the Coverdale and Newbank Neighbourhood and the wider community of Ardwick.Cup of Sugar Project The development and delivery of a community navigation scheme to work with older people on a one to one basis, develop a personalised action plan to address their needs, including: • Reduce social isolation and loneliness experienced buy older people to improve their well-being, • Financial inclusion activity to reduce poverty and help older people manage their money better, support them with welfare reforms and potential employment opportunities,• Promoting digital inclusion where possible with older people so that they develop their Basic On-line Skills and generate on-line savings,• Reducing fuel poverty by providing information, advice and guidance on energy efficiency, energy deals, recycle and re-use activity,• Promoting health eating and an active lifestyle by organising a range of community exercise classes, healthy cooking lessons and luncheon clubsDevelop a befriending and mentoring scheme by recruiting and supporting volunteers to provide support to older people to achieve the actions identified in their personal action plans.Develop and deliver a range of social group activities for older people so that they develop new friendships and networks.Support the development of an older peoples steering group that will help monitor and evaluate the project activities
