As the 3rd person to join team TH, I helped build this talent startup/agency from a team of 3 to ~30, and 5 clients to ~40. I hired everything across Engineering/R4R/Marketing/Sales/Ops between SF/LA/Seattle/NYC/Boston/Canada, and routinely took on all of the hardest, most niche roles our clients had. As Sourcing SME I mentored new hires throughout most of my tenure, training onsite, remote, and overseas sourcing teams. I led the company in hires per 12 mos. for 90% of my tenure. I think one of my biggest successes here was actually that the coworker that edged me out for the last few months for most hires was someone that I had trained from being a fresh graduate from Cal 14 months previous. Was sent to RPO at Databricks for 10 months to represent the company onsite 4 days per week at their SF HQ. I met with hiring managers and led client processes from sourcing/outreach to onsite interviews/offers. I worked closely with their VP of Engineering on a few Sr. Eng Mgr/Director of Eng roles, and I had a blast at the holiday party.

Hired shortly after graduation as an entry-level Market Research Assistant while learning the ropes of sourcing; I quickly became an indispensable asset to SF recruiting maven Mark Gentry. I recruited some friends from school and we implemented a new model of recruiting outreach to help startups compete against FAANG hiring teams to a large degree of success. Under Mark's guidance, we built everything from the ground up and tried to take on the talent world. Many lessons were learned, careers were started, and in the end, we were all better for our successes and our failures. Full-time onsite contract role (originally a 6 month contract). I had a blast working directly with Sean Lindsay (a brilliant CTO in Boston), Shannon Quigg (a fantastic HR Director at their SF HQ), and a multitude of hiring managers across the country/globe. I filled 70+ positions during my tenure with a top-of-funnel sourcing focus on Engineering and Data Science.Sample of positions filled: Head of DevOps, Head of Project Management, Head of Sales Operations, iOS/Android, Tools Developer, Platform Architect, Lead Backend Engineer, Data Infrastructure Architect, Sr. SWE, Data Scientist, Data Infrastructure, Lead Architect, Senior Designer.

Tango was one of the 1st solutions to cross-platform mobile video calls back when Facetime only worked on WiFi. Tango had a P2P engineering solution that made the platform more stable with more users. Mark and I were hired by founder Eric Setton to build TangoMe’s first recruiting team and scale their engineering teams. There were 15 employees and the company had 10M users and $15M in funding when we began working with them; at the end of our engagement, Tango had grown to 180+ employees, 200M users, and $360M in funding.

My first onsite/remote contract role (Wildfire Interactive was acquired by Google) working directly with the Head of Recruiting Matt Birnbaum, and closely with the VPE and Lead Engineer. My first hire was a VP of Marketing, followed by a couple of Sr. Ruby/RoR Engineers.
