As Marketing Manager at Joule Solar Energy I develop marketing strategies to allow the company to reach their sales and growth goals. I've developed and managed marketing campaigns that have appeared in web, print, social media, direct marketing, outdoor, and online video, to name a few. As a way to increase our direct outreach efforts I've trained, hired, and developed door-to-door canvassing and event teams in multiple markets. Once we were producing a large volume of leads I saw the need for an Inside Sales department to help manage the leads. I conceptualized, hired, and trained a team of three Inside Salespeople which has allowed the company to handle the influx of leads, has freed the Outside Sales team to sell more efficiently, and increased the number of contracts the company was able to produce. I have experience in print production, managing a variety of outsourced vendors and designers, launching and maintaining websites, working with outsourced overseas vendors, and more. I never shy away from a challenge and am always looking for ways to grow the company.

As Creative Services I served as a hybrid AE and Creative. I pitched, landed and serviced client's accounts. I would estimate new jobs, write copy, and traffic jobs to the designers. I would get production estimates from vendors, manage printers/vendors, and send ads to the media. I provided social media, AdWords, text message and email campaign capabilities to our clients. I initiated a recycling program for the office and was the resident office DJ.

Radio Engineer and Producer for Stirrin' it Up with Chef John Folse. Stirrin' it Up was a weekly cooking radio show that aired on the local NPR affiliate. Some of my duties included: finding and mixing music for breaks, recording and editing pre-recorded interview segments, audio editing, writing, recording and producing commercials, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining affiliate relations.This is one of the tastiest jobs I have ever had.

The Jim Engster Show was a morning drive news/talk radio show that aired on the local NPR affiliate. As the show Producer my duties included: arranging guests, screening calls, keeping the show on time, playing spot breaks, recording and editing the show daily, affiliate relations and troubleshooting.
