Before that, he was Managing Partner of the Foresight Group, an energy engineering company concentrating on utility optimization project implementation. He was Principal Engineer for Glaxo Wellcome, a $40B international pharmaceutical manufacturing company where he directed energy efficient design and project engineering for the corporation. He also worked for Carolina Power & Light, a Fortune 250 utility, preparing and conducting complex energy studies for industrial customers throughout the Southeast US. Mr. Austin has a Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from N.C. State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and is a member of ASHRAE. He is the author of a number of trade journal publications, an inventor, and an instructor for national engineering short courses.
