Solutions Architect
CurrentWorking within the global Manufacturing area of Operations IT, responsible for designing, implementing and documenting multiple solutions for business-critical manufacturing and data analytical systems. Collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, IT Services, Network Operations, Engineering and Cyber Security teams to ensure standardised, documented delivery that meets global enterprise standards. Meeting the operational requirements of the business using enterprise design patterns, analysing and incorporating the latest technologies to co-exist with current platforms. Defining roadmaps for future deployment and alignment across manufacturing.Achievement Summary• Tulip - Global deployment of no code/low code Digital Instruction platform on internal PaaS platform. Solution has reduced yearly costs by around $250m through time-saving and improved quality processes.• Emerson DeltaV – Solution design for a $13m project at Sweden Operations manufacturing site to upgrade key European API manufacturing DCS platform. Contributing to estimated $50m annual saving through process improvements, higher quality and yield. I was further involved in defining support processes, handover to OT and deployment. • Warehouse Control System – Solution Architect for upgrade to existing Warehouse Control System responsible for supporting >$300m packing value. Upgraded the existing physical server to metro cluster service at site for High Availability and GxP requirements.• Demand Backlog – Lead a team to reduce demand backlog across manufacturing projects, from 98% to 0% in 9 months. Training and mentoring external OSP’s to align with architecture processes.• Dashboards/Reports - Architect for multiple reporting requirements using Power BI, QlikSense and BO. Integration from various internal source systems (SAP (ECC, APO, ATTP), LIMS, PAS|X, TrakSYS), external DB’s, Fileshares, using integration tools API’s, SAP PI, Snaplogic, Qlik Replicate, Globalscape, SOAR, BODS, SLT, SDI.
