Operate, maintain, and adjust a variety of pumps, blowers, compressors, conveyors, sludge controls, air diffusers, filters, tanks, collectors, chemical equipment, mixer valves, incinerators, and other mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment used to control a step feed, activated sludge treatment facility both manually and through process control systems.-Collect samples of sewage at various stages.-Clean plant units such as bar screens, grit removal units, heat exchangers, aeration tanks and equipment, chlorinators, sludge pumps and pipe galleries. -Replenishes chemical solution tanks, unloads chemicals, perform routine plant maintenance.-Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned work areas. -Keep and maintain records.-Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader.

-Elm Point Treatment Plant (6 MGD Ground Water Plant)-Operate, monitor, and maintain all systems for a ground water, lime softening treatment plant. Including; pump stations, generators, gauges, pumps, filters, controls, and other equipment. -Repair and replace equipment as necessary. -Collect all bacteriological and all other samples as required by Missouri Department of Natural Resources. -Chart lab test results for trend analysis and maintains accurate records of analysis and test results and write reports as required. -Collect samples and identify concentrations of chemical characteristics of water required in accordance with local, State, and Federal requirements. -Gather and performs tests on water samples for plant reports as required. Perform quality control tests on lab equipment and lab analysis and evaluate procedures to assure accuracy of test results. -Calibrate and modify instrumentation and control equipment. -Receive after hour emergency phone calls and notifies appropriate Public Works supervisors, on-call personnel, and Public Works management. -Perform other duties as assigned.
