Inkspot Creative was a marketing and communications firm that specialized in external and internal communications for companies in the oil & gas industry, specifically executive communications, website development, strategic branding and collateral creation.

Created and designed school district’s internal and external communications, including press releases, quarterly newsletters, print advertising and brochures. Handled all media inquiries for the district as well as planning and coordination of special events, including the annual employee appreciation banquet and a districtwide academic achievement awards program.

Managed staff of seven reporters at daily newspaper. Responsible for planning, editing and assigning daily content of the newspaper as well as wriitng editorials and columns.

Managed staff of 15 reporters and two assistant city editors as part of newsroom management team responsible for the overal content of the news and editorial section of this daily newspaper - owned by Knight Ridder at the time - which had a circulation of more than 40,000 on the Central California coast.

Part of a team that used Quark XPress and Photoshop to design and edit the pages at Tacoma's daily newspaper. Coordinated, designed and edited eight to 15 pages of local news including section fronts and specialty pages.

As managing editor, supervised an eight-person staff and edited and designed 10 news pages a day including the front page, three section fronts a week, a 10-page free community weekly newspaper and a variety of special sections. In roles of city editor and reporter, wrote columns, editorials and a variety of news and feature stories.
