Stephen Hawthorne was involved in the original inception of ECG Buiding Maintenance Ltd in conjunction with co-Directors Brian and Danny in 1994. With a technical background in Electrical Engineering, progression into Sales and Management soon followed. From this platform Stephen alleges that he is suitably qualified to undertake his role as M.D.in a business he describes as the University of Life. The business through its reputation has grown out of all recognition since 1994 and now employs over 400 staff and has an annual turnover in excess of £45 million. Much of this growth has been sustained via personal relationships, trust and excellent customer service delivery. Stephen's day to day activities centre around communication, both internally and externally, where the concept of being able to forge relationships from the boiler room to the boardroom is noted as the key deliverable. Stephen has been past Chairman of the HVCA in Scotland and served ten years on The BIFM Committee in Scotland. His true passion in life apart from his business interests are his family, kids and grandkids is Celtic Football Club, whom he has travelled the world supporting, although it must be stipulated that Stephen can be found at the ECG Corporate Facilities in The Walfrid Suite at Celtic Park or The Thornton Suite at Ibrox.
