The Arran Butcher is a premium meat producer on the Isle of Arran. It supplies Arran Venison, Lamb and Beef to a number of prestigious clients throughout Scotland.

As a member of the Council of Assembly, and the Council of Assembly Finance Group, I have also been appointed as the Convener of the Pensions Working Group of the Church of Scotland. This is a national committee meeting regularly at 121 George Street in Edinburgh. The Group (which includes the Trustees) has collective responsibility for all the pension schemes of the Church.

As a member of the Council of Assembly of the Church of Scotland, I am also a member of the Finance Group of that Council.

I am one of the eighteen voting members of the Council of Assembly of the Church of Scotland, and therefore a Trustee of the church. The Council of Assembly was set up by the General Assembly of 2004. Its establishment fulfils a hope, expressed in the Church without Walls report, for the creation of an executive function in setting priorities among the boards and committees of the Church in line with agreed strategy.The council has the authority to take necessary administrative decisions between General Assemblies, to co-ordinate the work of the Church’s central administration and to take decisions with regard to resources, finances and staffing.

This is a strategic non-executive role, with an overview responsibility for Governance and Sturcture. Includes the Craft Town Scotland trading arm.
