The LES is the first training system of its kind to be available to the public. Through various workshops participants get a hands-on experience in lean and learn the application of these principles in a manufacturing environment. The LES is a closed loop conveyor system that simulates manufacturing with two powered sections and two free conveyor sections (disconnects). The participants not only get the theory of lean, they get to experience lean in three simulation rounds. Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost are tracked to show the impact of lean principles. Participants learn they can achieve more and not work any harder than they do in a traditional mass production environment. In fact, participants typically tell us that they do not work as hard when lean principles and tools are properly followed. The LES will be available for classes in Fall of 2014.We are exited to share we are partnering with the TWI Institute (Training Within Industry) to bring to you Skill Point. Where your JI (Job Instruction) certification includes the LES training experience. Look for classes beginning this Fall.Keep on the look-out for future announcements.
