I have over 20 years’ international and regional experience in producing high-level policy analyses on strategic, political and economic developments and conducting in-depth risk assessments. I have also worked as a corporate communications adviser and columnist. During my career I have developed a wide range of contacts in the government, corporate and academic sectors. As Head of the European Security Programme at the Royal United Services Institute in London, I provided confidential briefings and reports for senior officials from the defence, security and energy sectors, and managed several high profile international conferences. While Editor for Jane’s Sentinel Security Assessments, I managed specialised field researchers providing political intelligence to meet tight deadlines set by customers. In addition, I have taught at University College London and the University of Aberystwyth.
