Stephen Jenks designs and develops parallel and distributed software and computer systems, including powerful video wall software for distributed visualization. At Northrop Grumman, he developed advanced avionics and medical computer systems. He joined the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science faculty at the University of California, Irvine, where he taught and performed research into parallel and distributed computing and processor architecture. He was Co-Principal Investigator of the NSF-funded HIPerWall project, which developed the technology for the world's highest resolution tiled display. He co-founded Hiperwall, Inc. to commercialize the tiled display technology into a cost-effective software solution that uses commodity computing and display components.
