About Stephen Grey

I am an experienced labour market, skills and economic researcher, evaluator and project manager with over 15 years’ experience. My experiences have seen me work on a number of projects that have fed into both operational and strategic decision making through to areas such as policy and marketing outputs. These have seen me work independently, with consultants and as part of small and large teams alike. I particularly enjoy stakeholder engagement and understanding how our work can help contribute to needs.I am comfortable working with a wide range of primary and secondary data sources on diverse topics such as grant making, economics, labour markets, skills, business performance, heritage focussed data releases and educational information such as Higher and Further Education datasets. I am also effective at conducting large scale literature reviews to build an evidence base and have worked within both qualitative and quantitative research as well as evaluative environments. Much of my work has seen me produce both reports and innovate tools that can be used organisationally. I highly regard CPD, developing a number of how to and introductory guides and training courses for both internal and external audiences on a wide range of topics. I see myself as approachable and willing to help when both internal and external queries are made. I have also presented on a wide range of topics to a large number of forums, conferences and audiences across the UK and in Europe.
