I am currently with Meat & Livestock Australia, working as Business Manager UK based in London. The role has been developed to assist the Australian red meat industry increase value of Australian beef and lamb in the UK with the impending Free Trade Agreement coming into force in 2023. Prior to rejoining MLA I w as with Barossa Fine Foods in Adelaide for almost 5 years as the National sales account and marketing manager. I was with SAMEX Australian Meat Exporters as special projects manager and previous to that I was employed at JBS Australia in lamb export sales and marketing focusing on the North America market. Before JBS I was at Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) in the global marketing department for thirteen years, my final role at MLA was business manager for international markets. My role consisted of developing globally consistent brands, strategies and marketing materials, coordinating global business development programs and implementing streamlined, measurable operational processes. Prior to the business managers role I was based in Washington DC for almost 5 years leading MLA’s marketing, business development and market access strategies as regional manager for North America. I was (and remain) a chef working in Australia and Europe eventually owning a cafe, restaurants and a B&B in the Adelaide Hills. Before going into the meat industry in marketing
