I am a project manager that coordinates services for plant outages. I coordinate service work for valve, actuator, and safety relief valves at power plants, refineries, or chemical plants. I manage project in the field and provide the customers with daily updates so they can accurately track costs and project status. A key function of the outage coordinator is keeping everyone safe by running daily safety meetings and ensuring high safety standards are maintained at all times. This position acts as a in between of the factory, the technicians, sales group, and the customer as a one point contact while we are onsite.The customer sites I typically work at are power plants, combined cycle, coal, and nuclear power. I typically manage 1-2 nuclear outages a year as the night shift project manager. Outside of outage season I work at Vinson’s service shop. I have a wide range of rolls as an engineer in Vinson’s service department. Key projects have been CAD designing the layout of Vinson’s new safety relief valve shop. Building and training personnel on high pressure safety relief valve test stands with hydraulic systems. Designing, budgeting, and building a water safety relief valve test system.I am a very hands on engineer that enjoys working with a wide range of customers and enjoys find the most efficient and safe way to solve or prevent valve issues.

Inside sales engineer for Vinson's Fisher sales group. I sell Emerson products with a key focus on Fisher Valves and Regulators. I've gone through the following Emerson training courses, Fisher Valve Engineering 1, Fisher Valve Engineering 2, Emerson's Refining Training, and also the Fisher Regulator Technician 1 course. My customer base is primarily made up of OEMs and gas utility companies. I've worked on all of Vinson's Fisher Sales Territory Groups which are West Texas, Oklahoma, and North Texas. The different sales territories gave me a broad range of experience from working with OEMs, Refineries, Power Plants, Gas Utilities, Water Utilities, Gas Processing, Pipelines, and Oil/Gas drilling customers as well. I've significantly grown my sales year over year and have built good customer relationships with key accounts.

My topic of research was the effect flow geometries have on a non-Newtonian fluid, specifically a cylinder geometry. I learned how to use a microscope, a high speed camera, and a large list of other lab equipment. This was a great experience for me that I enjoyed working on and was able to get my first publication after 1 year of research. Published 4/19/13 on Rheol Acta.Second Author Publication: Mechanisms of onset for moderate Mach number instabilities of viscoelastic flows around confined cylinders.
