Senior Design Engineer
CurrentProduct support for a family of epicyclic and accessory gearboxes. Tasks include dispositions, drawing revs and rolls, failure analysis, repair design, field support, customer support, new product implementation, uprate analysis, cost reduction. Developed a gearbox to last full life while under out-of-scope loading conditions.Turbomachinery coupling design. Tasks include design, release, revs and rolls, communication with external suppliers and customers, new product and company implementation, failure analysis, cost reduction. Implemented new product line of standard couplings that was easier to install, cost less, and had a significant reduction in lead time. Problems are different from project to project, but standards have been created to expedite the design process.
