At Avant, I am part of a data management rotational program. I spent the first 6 months in Business Intelligence, where I learned the intricacies of the company's data and assisted other departments with data access. My main project involved creating a query and multiple R scripts to run a compliance analysis on our UK portfolio. In April I transferred to Business Analytics, where my focus has been on monitoring and optimizing our direct mail marketing campaigns.

At Navigant, I work on data analysis for class-action lawsuits, usually of the wage-and-hour or consumer variety. I process the necessary data into R or SQL, and I inspect it for cleanliness and completeness. Tasks are project-dependent but usually include calculating exposure under a variety of scenarios for summary in an expert report.

At the MBA, I spent the summer assisting the Research and Economics department with their data analysis. Using t-SQL and Microsoft Excel, I helped conduct analyses of mortgage loans and interest rates. I also implemented a project analyzing complaints against mortgage lenders.
