Technical Writer
CurrentResponsible for writing, editing, illustrating, publishing, and maintaining service and operator guides for a wide range of new and existing products including flexographic printing plates, software for preparing and submitting plate layouts to the imager, system workstations, and hardware systems for plate imaging and plate processing. Support hardware systems with service manuals and procedures including safety, operation, replacement of field replaceable units, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Incorporate functional illustrations, photographs, and parts and schematics diagrams. Support software products with user guides, release notes, installation and upgrade guides, and troubleshooting articles. Support plate products with optimization procedures and guidelines, customer and engineering bulletins, and visual quick reference guides. Develop line art and other types of visual content to support complex technical information for service engineers and simplified illustrations for users. Manage distribution of content to the applicable audiences with web-based knowledge base articles and file downloads including documents, test files, and software installers. Publish brief news items such as release announcements and other critical updates. Work closely with the software development, service engineering, and platemaking technical applications teams across multiple sites. Review and develop documentation processes and procedures.
