With 20 years of legal experience, I am a seasoned and versatile lawyer who leads a large and diverse team of professionals at Optum. My core competencies include drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts (primarily for software and services and including data and complex issues), leading and managing teams, development of new products and services, and providing legal and risk management guidance to various business groups. I bring a collaborative and strategic approach to my work.As a Deputy General Counsel at Optum, I oversee the completion of thousands of commercial contracts each year. I also advise on the development of new products and services, collaborating with many departments and teams in the process. I provide legal and risk management advice on complex deals, company processes, negotiation strategy, and day-to-day matters to several groups, including business leadership.
