Born and raised in humble beginnings in Queens, New York where I learned from my first generation Dad what it takes to compete in a hyper competitive environment and the work ethic needed to achieve any dreams of success that I possessed which turned out to be the greatest gift I would receive in preparation of my professional career. • Received my first employment experience at the age of 10 years old delivering the Long Island Press. Made customers happy by delivering service every day and canvassed weekly to expand my route so I could make more money. Over 50 years later, nothing has changed. 😊• Graduated with a Chemistry degrees from St. Joseph’s College. This after not taking a chemistry class in High School. Thus began my desire to do things other people said I could not. • Began my career in the flavor and fragrance industry at Felton International in Brooklyn, NY as a quality control chemist while at the same time attending St. John’s University in the evening receiving my master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry.• Learned all aspects (quality, development, production, and commercial) of the flavor and fragrance industry during a 13-year tenure at Givaudan. While I learned the technical and commercial nuances of the industry, my greatest take away from these 13 years is the realization that people, great people, make a company.• Left Givaudan and purchased a small company in East Stroudsburg, PA, Vigon International. Spent the last 25 years living the dream as I was fortunate to recruit and develop amazing team members who came to work every day empowered and motivated to make a difference. And did they ever.
