~ Act as Focal person for the co-ordination of WFP operations in Uganda offering food quality superintendent services. ~ Co-ordinating execution of operations in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan by close monitoring and allocation of inspectors. ~ Carrying out inspections (Food and non-food items) as a third-party inspector. ~ Sampling as per various sampling protocols for food and non-food items. ~ Authorizing by signature; reports and certificates after checking documentation for completeness and correctness. ~ Communicating with customers on new nominations, job progress, solving or managing potentially sensitive operational situations with customers. ~ Providing guidance and answering queries relating to complex or technical aspects of inspection to customers and management. ~ Advising or providing operational information and or inspection expertise to management team members where required.~ Liaising with Superiors to ensure interdepartmental co-operation in the interest of meeting total job appointment conditions. ~ Ensuring that operational equipment are functioning optimally by facilitating repairs and ensuring they are carried out as to standard.~ Ensuring that procedures and standards are set and/ or maintained in the department. ~ Investigating disputes and discrepancies relating to job assignments and compiling official reports of findings and recommendation to customers. ~ Determining resource requirements for the department based on work volume and operations complexity. ~ Managing local staff by setting and communicating performance and role requirements, orienting new staff, monitoring staff performance and taking corrective actions, discipline, training, coaching, appraising.~ Allocation of duties to local inspectors and planning on execution of operations in a cost effectively. ~ Managing& Reporting expenditure/petty cash at various field offices. ~ Act as Custodian of company assets/operations equipment in Uganda.

~ Receiving samples in the lab, registration and manipulation. ~ Performing chemical analysis of both processed and unprocessed foods. ~ Carrying out analysis of both crude and refined vegetable oils. ~ Carrying out microbiology analysis of food, water, oils and packaging materials. ~ Part of the Quality control team ensuring conformance to the QMS, identifying gaps in procedures, raising amendment requests, participating in audits, investigating nonconformities, and ensuring adherence to ISO 17025,1720,22000 and 9001. ~ Quality control- Participating in PTs, QCs development, monitoring, results verification & method development. ~ Carrying out chemical analysis of water and effluent samples. ~ Analyzing fortified foods e.g. CSB for levels of essential vitamins and minerals using HPLC & ICP EOS respectively. ~ Managing junior analysts and attachees in the lab and allocating responsibilities. ~ Operating and monitoring lab equipment to ensure maintenance and calibration records are up to date. ~ Monitoring and recording laboratory and sample stores’ environmental conditions. ~ Drafting reports, releasing them to clients and ensuring proper record keeping and filing ~ Monitoring laboratory consumables inventory, making requisitions and placing orders. ~ Active member of the Company safety committee.
