With over 20 years of working for biotechnology and diagnostic companies I have a wealth of experience ranging from (i) highly technical expertise in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression and purification, IVD assay development [immunochemistry and MDx] (ii) high level project and people management – most recent position was Head of R&D Italy for DiaSorin S.p.A. a European diagnostics manufacturer (€1.3bn mkt cap.); 20 research scientists and €3 million annual budget, (iii) experience in biotech company start-up and finance raising; founder, CEO and CSO of Pastel BioScience Limited and (iv) a good knowledge of the financial markets; 3 years as financial analyst for a London based stock broking company; final position held was as Associate Director & Head Analyst of Biotechnology & Healthcare Research, FSA Reg.Specialties: (i) novel proteomics and protein biomarker discovery platforms, (ii) ultra-high throughput selection platforms and (iii) high-sensitivity immunodiagostic assay platforms
