Grab the bull by the horns – or something like that.That’s where I started, quite literally, and somehow it led me here to running Formosi – a boutique advertising and marketing agency based in SoCal. As a Chicago native who grew up in the Southwest, I’ve spent my life taking risks and throwing myself in to the pen, so to speak. Now, I bring that same tenacity for thrill to the fast-paced arena of social media and brand promotion. Our clients trust us to provide focused solutions and stand-out strategies, the fundamentals of which I learned through the intuition and balance of steering. First horses, then cattle, students, my acting career, and now the business growth of health, beauty, and wellness professionals. I should warn you; the details don’t get any less interesting. When I was a young buck, I took a keen interest in the equine industry. The innate power and aesthetic of these majestic creatures was enough to make me go all in – learning, teaching, training. Not unlike the allure of a life in Los Angeles, with Hollywood glamour calling all actors, stylists, cosmetic surgeons, and former team roper. When my family moved to a ranch in Arizona, it was my love of horses that grew into a training business and 10+ year career of riding and roping, stunt work, and eventually the lead character energy of packing up and moving to LA. On film sets, I pushed the boundaries of occupational hazard while being tossed from windows, leaping out of moving cars, and jumping off 50-foot buildings. When I decided I wanted to live life a bit less “up in the air”, I grounded myself in more traditional auditions – landing a handful of acting jobs in commercials, film, theater, and the next logical place for a former rodeo guy. No, not Rodeo Drive, but Daytime TV. I was that recurring waiter you saw in those episodes of Days of Our Lives – don’t tell me you didn’t notice. Throughout my diverse trajectory of a career, I’ve built an eclectic network that has gifted me with the ability to attract, hire, and develop the dynamic team of professionals we have at Formosi. The digital marketing world with its ever-changing landscape of Influencers and TikTok dances requires strategy, creativity, and the guts to jump on something different. I bring my passion for grit and grind to how we boost awareness and build stellar reputations for our inspirational clients. On those “me time” days, you can find me broadening my horizons through travel, spending time with family, and considering my next plot twist.
