Tasked with identifying and procuring major grants for the College through business, state and federal sources. Also handled Institutional Research and Strategic Planning, as well as all legislative contact with relevant government and non-profit entities. Acquired a $2.1 million grant from the US DOJ for Evacuation Crisis Training and $1.2 million in National Science Foundation funds for training in Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing and Guitar Making. Designed a college-wide strategic planning process that was accepted by the Middle States Accreditation Committee of Higher Education. Co-chaired the Legislative Action Committee for the Butler County Chamber of Commerce; active participant in various Northwest PA STEM efforts. Chaired committe to create the Unified Plan for Butler County, a collaboration of businesses, agencies, and government to prioritize and promote initiatives that will benefit economic development and improve quality of life in Butler County. Earned the globally-recognized Certificate for Fundraising Executive (CFRE).Responsible for all aspects of prospecting for, writing, procuring and administering major grant initiatives. Also controlled Institutional Research, Strategic Planning, Government Relations and Theater activities. Effectively managed $650,000 Heinz Endowment grants on behalf of the Western PA Community College Resource Consortium. Assumed leadership of the new 445-seat, high-tech Succop Theater; instituted new policies and procedures for funding, ticketing and programming. Spearheaded the College’s participation in the state-wide Partnership for Regional Innovation of Manufacturing Education (PRIME); also managed over $3 million in funding from Heinz Endowments. Wrote and helped to administer a PA Workforce Challenge grant and created one of the first Associate Degree programs in Computer Forensics in the US.
