Profile bio

About Wells Ling, Ph.D.

I have strong passion to help better the lives of all people. While I could always go and volunteer somewhere, I believe that I can leverage my knowledge and experience in research, data, and program evaluation to make an even greater impact. My deep commitment to this goal has led me to seek out opportunities within the non-profit sector, in which I have worked with non-profit organizations and educational institutions to help continually improve program quality by translating academic research into actionable plans, data analysis, and engaging story telling.I believe that the knowledge obtained through my Ph.D. program in developmental psychology, is foundational and applicable to a variety of fields (i.e., education, safety, social welfare, etc.), including those outside my own area of research. Trained in psychology, I developed the ability to quickly gather information from multiple sources, assess the current state of research with a particular field, develop methods and processes to answer novel research questions, conduct data analysis, come up with interpretations based on the data collected, and meaningfully present findings to a variety of stakeholders.
