Primarily worked on various contracts with many major telecom providers throughout the United States, including Verizon, TDS Telecom, Frontier Communications, Alliant, Charter, and many others. Because of this I have gained extensive knowledge of the telecom industry, fiber optics, and geospatial network design.My own work has been quite varied. I have worked extensively with GIS, particularly ArcGIS, 3GIS, Arc Catalog, and ArcGIS Online, to meet the needs of our various contracts. This has included web app development and daily maintenance using ESRI's WebApp Builder, data driven page and map production for our fielding crews, data conversion and creation utilizing AutoCAD (mainly Civil and Map 3D) and ArcGIS (Map, SDE, etc), and the development of geodatabase schemas.In this role I have become proficient in not just asset management but also in employee management, and communication with clients. I have recruited and interviewed GIS professionals for our team, helping to add an additional five employees over the last year. I have handled work distribution across multiple contracts for our GIS group, team technical troubleshooting and brainstorming, as well as interacting daily with clients via group conference call, email, or in person meetings.Additional work includes successfully pitching a web app development project to a client thus securing additional avenues of funding and expanding the services our group can provide and market, utility as-built interpretation and editing in AutoCAD, productivity innovation (for example utilizing multi-user spreadsheets for tracking purposes) and much more.

Fort Mccoy, Wisconsin

I worked alongside the Fort McCoy DPW to compile a comprehensive and complete dataset for the 60,000 sq acre installation's utility network. Data Collection was performed using the Trimble TSC3 and R8 gps receiver. Data was differentially corrected using real time kinematic correction.Coordinate system conversion was performed as needed. Data was exported into ArcGIS as XY event layers, and used to attribute and modify pre-existing utility layers within the Fort's enterprise environment. Python was used in the attribution process on occasion to increase productivity. Additional duties: updating Trimble feature library by editing HTML code. This was done to create an efficient, effective and approachable feature library for future data collection at Fort McCoy. As-built quality assurance using Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation. As-built georeferencing in ArcMap. Vector digitization of utility features. Excel data conversion and editing. And much more.

I previously worked as a GIS intern for the Village of Bellevue. I created story maps using ArcGIS Online, edited and arranged data and attributes using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and ArcGIS, digitized and encoded lateral lines for the Village's water utility network, GPS located Village-owned trees using Trimble GPS receivers, installed GIS software on many different computers, developed a personal database in MS Access to organize the Village's tree inventory, used ModelBuilder to automate workflows, and used SQL to develop queries in Access to standardize data. I gained experience in many facets of GIS.

Stevens Point

At this position, I and two other students were tasked with constructing an interactive web mapping application for the Green Circle Trail Organization. The map contained data about various city trails, parks, attractions, and many other features. The trail data was collected using Trimble Nomad GPS Receivers. The application was developed using ArcGIS Online. The manager of this project was Professor Christine Koeller.

I helped grade labs for the intro-level GIS class on-campus. Additionally, I collected poll and statistical information from students to assist professors in improving the course in the future.
