After achieving the directors’ wishes at Stem Group, I have undertaken several interim managing director and consultancy roles within SME’s up to £10m in turnover, both local and nationally, specialising in business development through the implementation of strategies in growth, business turn around, start-ups, partnerships, organisational change and aligning strategies to the goals of the business. I also act as a mentor for a number of clients advising on their professional life.

After being invited to join Devon Air Ambulance Trust, I operate across two senior leadership teams – raising in excess of £8m per year and then allocating those funds within the trading and operations team on the maintenance, supplies and purchase of helicopters, ensuring a healthy surplus is maintained with a cost base of £6.4m. I then represent these bodies at board level and am currently undertaking a full board review coupled with the governance across the board and charity.

During my tenure and with no additional funding, the company increased to excess of £2.2m turnover, coupled with providing the holding group net profits in excess of £250k. Ultimately preparing the company for an equity sale which was completed May 2014.

Particular expertise in business turnaround, transformation, business change and exit strategies within the SME sector, up to £5m in turnover. Businesses included IT, print, property management, tourism, health and manufacturing.

Managing Director to an engineering and manufacturer of specialist solutions for the aerospace, automotive and marine industries - £500k - £2m turnover. Leading the expansion and development into new and lucrative market places, founding and nurturing accounts including Rolls Royce Cars and Aero, Snap-On, Wurth, Air Bus, Volkswagen Audi, Porsche, Aston Martin, military and civil aviation companies.
